EAEA organised a reception at the European Parliament on April 9 2008. Ms Doris Pack, MEP; DE, wass hosting the event. The topic was the Action Plan on Adult Learning.
Together with Ms Doris Pack, a member of the European Parliament, we were inviting to a non formal event, where MEPs, representatives from the European Commission and other European institutions as well as lobbyists, stakeholders and members of EAEA have the opportunity to meet, exchange views and discuss about the role of adult education and lifelong learning.
In 2008 we focused on the Action Plan on Adult Education - It is always a good time to learn published by the European Commission in autumn 2007. We were especially happy that Ms Doris Pack agreed to host the event. She has a long experience in the area of education both at national and European level. She was, among other activities, the Rapporteur of the EP Report on Adult learning: It is never too late to learn and we were very proud to have her patronage of our event.
