Clémence Garnier is the newest addition to the EAEA staff. She will be working for EAEA projects.
As the former EAEA Junior Project Officer, Aleksandra Kozyra, has taken over the position of EAEA Membership and Events Officer, Clémence Garnier is now the new EAEA Junior Project Officer. She will mainly be in charge of supporting the team in project work, as with the EAEA project implOED and EAEA's partner projects.
“I believe that exchange of best practices through European projects is one of the most concrete ways to raise awareness about adult education in Europe. With all the challenges we currently face in Europe – migration, climate change, growing inequalities – promoting adult education is important in order to empower the civil society,“ Clémence says.
During her experience at EAEA, Clémence expects to learn more about European project management and to gain deeper insight into adult education, in particularly issues related to outreach, empowerment, and refugees.
Clémence has previous international experience and experience in project management. She is French and studied English, German and European project management in France and in Germany. After a year and a half of working experience in associations focusing on European affairs and project management in Brussels and in France, she decided to settle in Brussels, enjoying both the Belgian way of life and the international working environment.
Having been European Youth Project Manager in a House of Europe in France, she has acquired knowledge in European education policy and in the Erasmus+ programme. She also has skills in formal and non-formal education thanks to her experiences as Foreign Languages Teaching Assistant at the New York French American Charter School, as French Teaching Volunteer in primary schools in Germany and as Children camps’ entertainer in France.
