EAEA analyses and discusses PIAAC results

During the autumn, EAEA is analysing PIAAC results in detail according to various themes and issues of interest. A series of articles will be published and compiled to a statement, which will be presented at the EAEA Policy Debate on PIAAC on 3 December in Brussels.

The first paper on how adult learning benefits lives has now been published. It presents the wider benefits of lifelong learning; how adult learning benefits lives. EAEA has long recognised that adult education can make a contribution to increasing social, economic and personal well-being. However we experienced that the lack of evidence on the benefits of adult education, especially those not linked directly to the labour market, which is a major obstacle in gaining recognition for a sustainable framework and reliable support for the sector.
