The EAEA General Assembly 2012 was held at Europahaus Wien on May 2, 2012.
The meeting was very well attended with participants from a majority of EAEA member countries represented. The Assembly approved the work report of 2012, the financial report, the budget and the work plan for 2012. Beate Gfrerer from Austria was replaced in the Board by Gerhard Bisovsky, also from Austria. A number of new members were approved. As a result the Adult Education Association (Azerbaijan) was approved as an ordinary member. And
were approved as associate members.
In the evening we celebrated the Grundtvig Award 2012. Potters Wheel from Tajikstan won in the Out of Europe category, and Moving stories and Generations from Germany won in the European category.
