GAEN unites organizations having similar understanding of the values and advantages of Adult Education for poverty reduction, civic engagement and community development in Georgia. Presently, GAEN unites eight adult/community education centers in six regions of Georgia: Achara, Guria, Samegrelo-Zemo-Svaneti, Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti and Samtkhe-Javakheti regions. GAEN members are: Keda, Chokhatauri, Senaki, Jvari, Leliani, Koda, Sahaumiani and Samtkkhe-Javakheti Adult/Community Education Centers. Since 2010 these organizations have been successfully implementing adult education projects in their respectful regions and support to community development. The Adult /Community Education Centers’ role are especially important in socio-economic advancement and integration of the most disadvantaged population of the targeted communities.
