Know your lifestyle - Introducing Sustainable Consumption in 2nd-chance education


The project has the purpose to introduce global education in the second chance courses, to create an innovative pedagogical approach for discussing sustainable consumption and globalisation with second chance students and to establish a strong thematic network among Adult Education Centres and NGOS about development education.

dvv-international (coordinator)

dvv international is the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V., DVV), which, in turn, is the federal umbrella association for the 16 regional associations of Germany's community adult education centres (Volkshochschulen, VHS). DVV and its Institute represent the interests of the association's members, together with those of over 1000 Volkshochschulen, at the national, European, and international level.

European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA)

European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the voice of non-formal adult education in Europe. EAEA is a European NGO with 126 member organisations in 42 countries. EAEA is a transnational, non-profit association whose purpose is to link and represent European organisations which are directly involved in adult learning.

Estonian Non-Formal Adult Education Association (ENAEA)

ENAEA is a non-governmental, national umbrella organisation in the non-formal adult education field associating education-orientated NGOs.


Slovenian Institute for Adult Education (SIAE)

SIAE is the main national institution for research and development, quality and education, guidance and validation, and promotional and informative activities in the field of adult education in Slovenia.

Carinthian Folk High Schools

VHSKTN is a non-profit regional association association which works in the field of adult education. Each year approximately 21.000 people enrol in its over 2.600 courses. They also offer lectures, seminars and workshops in many different specialist areas.

For the development of the modules and the organisation of workshops, project partners cooperates with NGOs engaged in sustaibale consumption and development education. These are Slovenian Foundation for Sustainable Development (SI), Tartu Environmental Education Centre (EE), BAOBAB Global Learning (AT) and Center for Ecology and Development (DE).
