The Spanish Federation of Popular Universities-FEUP is running its candidature to Elections of EAEA Board members, in the next General Assembly, that will take place in Metz, Nov. 5-7, 2004. FEUP is constituted by 231 Popular Universities, located in 12 Regions and 23 Provinces in Spain. Working with 2.000.000 adult learners, and with 3.500 professionals involves in Adult Education in their network.
Popular Universities in Spain are defined as "a project of cultural development that acts in the municipality whose objective is to promote the social participation, the education, the formation and the culture, to improve the quality of life". FEUP is a meeting point to exchange, systematizing, theoretical production and collective communication, in the national and international level. Is member of EAEA from a long time ago and is collaborating very actively into the Board of EAEA since the last two years (see related file below for more information, profile FEUP).
Our general aim is to contribute with EAEA members, promoting politics, projects and actions in LifeLong Learning and Adult Education (LLL/AE) to improve social, cultural and educational life in Europe:

To share innovative ideas, interchange and disseminate good practices, methodologies and experiences with organizations of Adult Education.

To promote citizenship, key skills, social cohesion, etc.

Look for resources and supports for Adult Education and LLL.
