ICAE participates in FISC Buenos Aires
The International Civil Society Forum (FISC, for its acronym in Spanish) as a space for meeting, articulation and strengthening of organizations, networks and movements that fight for the right to education was born within the framework of the preparatory process towards CONFINTEA VI, with the aim of preparing civil society's participation in the official conference. It was held for the first time in Belem, Brazil, in November 2009.

Seeking to give continuity to this space, and this time within the framework of the Goals 2021, representatives of several regional civil society organizations and networks from 18 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, and from Spain as well, met in Buenos Aires to prepare their participation in the Ibero-American Congress on Education.
In the meeting, the proposals arising from civil society (see advocacy document) that were incorporated to the official document were analyzed as well as the pending challenges and the concrete opportunities for advocacy that will be arise in the upcoming days in the course of the congress.
In the forum, many were the issues for debate, but in general terms it was agreed that it was necessary to continue to promote and strongly advocate on the issues of financing, gender, civil society participation and teachers‚ conditions.
A website was specially created to provide information on this process and receive inputs
