First trainee period completed in EAEA Helsinki
Following some 1 1/2 years of discussions EAEA Helsinki welcomed its first trainee, Vera Sperling from Germany, in August. The three month traineeship period ended last Friday.

2008 for Intercultural dialogue?
The EU commission would like to see 2008 as the year of intercultural dialogue. The proposal, costing some 10 million euro, is now in the hands of the Parliament and the Council.

E-Roundtable: e-learning
Moderation of an eRoundtable discussion on eLearning and whether it has reached a tipping point as the way to keep the workforce sharp. The eRoundtable process is designed to leverage modern communications technologies as a means of collecting information, and for all to be accomplished with a minimum investment of an expert´s time. The eRoundtable project will be patterned after the traditional roundtable discussion format and will employ the same standards that would be expected if all participants were in the same physical room.
