"Our students are unique", Joke states enthusiastically. She has been working for over 15 years as teacher and counsellor to adult education students at the ROC (Regional Education Centre) in Harderwijk, the Netherlands. "For every new student, the challenge is to face a new round in learning."
Knowledge at the heart of economic recovery
The key role of education and training in the recovery of Europe's economy was the main subject on the education ministers' agenda on 15 February. They discussed the importance of learning in the context of the proposal for the new 'EU 2020 strategy' to be adopted at the Spring summit in March.
