A way of putting Adult Education courses and training in a framework is by means of Adult Education systems. Adult Education systems set out the lines for general conditions the participating institutions have to comply with. In practice, it comes down to, for example, the use of the same method of accreditation and similar methods of teaching and examining by the participating institutions. In other words, somebody who attends a beginner course in computer skills in Latvia learns more or less the same as somebody who attends such a course in Belgium. Adult Education systems also facilitate the financing of the participating institutions.
