DOLCETA - the consumer rights tender with the aim of developing interactive web-based tools for consumer education is finished.
Two modules have been developed: one generic module on basic consumer rights, the advantages of the internal market and possibilities for redress; and one specialised module on financial services.
The modules are designed for autonomous online-learning, but they should also be used in courses or seminars on consumer issues. The modules themselves are not conceived as a whole course, rather as additional resources for specific issues.
The modules have been translated into all official EU languages and adapted for the legal situation in all EU countries.
The official launch of the portal by Commissioner Kyprianou took place in June 2006 where consumer associations, adult education experts, legal experts and other representatives from all 25 EU countries, as well as international journalists were present.
