History

Learn for Life is the successor of the Foundation for Folkhighschoolwork in The Netherlands. We promote innovation in and implementation of social learning from an international perspective. We are a network organization for local, regional and national organisations in the broad field of non-formal education.

Main act

Learn for Life brings organisations around the table in order to exchange and discuss experiences with projects and policy documents for adult education in Europe. We develop international projects and contribute nationally and internationally to innovation and dissemination of educational projects. Areas of special interest are: promotion of lifelong learning through learning campaigns and local educational platforms (we are the national coordinator of Lifelong Learning Festival); rural development & education; active citizenship. Learn for Life awards an international prize annually to a Dutch organisation that uses its own expertise in innovative projects in adult education at an international level.
