History

TWP was founded in 1950 and since then has actively promoted and organised many activities connected with adult learning such as courses, trainings, seminars and lectures, and since 1993 secondary schools for working adults.

Main act

TWP supports and disseminates many projects involving adults learning, organises seminars and trainings.
One of the successes of TWP is establishing in 1997 Teacher´s College of Foreign Languages. It is the institution that educates teachers and they receive BA degree. At the moment there are three colleges: in Kielce, Kraków and Radom.
Furthermore TWP established several technical and trade schools that enjoy great popularity. TWP also organises Medical Schools, which educate their students in medical rescuing.
All the schools possess all necessary authorizations and are based on regulations issued by the Ministry of Education.
TWP advocates adult learning and widening of easy access to it and therefore in 2000 there was established Lifelong Learning Centre for Teachers which enables them to complete all necessary qualifications.
What is more, considering the fact that there are more and more children and teenagers who have problems with learning, since 1997 there has been a Diagnostic and Therapy Centre that compensates those deficiencies.
TWP also co-operates with Świętokrzyska Acedemy in Kielce in organising the University of Third Age, where older people can participate in various lectures and courses.
Another form of TWP activities is Open University which, in co-operation with Radio Kielce, releases 15-minute lectures by well- known scientists from different fields.
TWP is a "nom-profit" organisation and all financial resources are allocated to further development of didactic activities.
