History

The organization was founded in 1998 as an extension service in agriculture. For eight years of activity organization has completed over 80 consultancy assignments and training sessions for local and international institutions. Agro-Meslehet now has over than 100 consultants on its database.Since July 2003 Agro-Meslehet has created Regional Advisory Center in the Southern part of Azerbaijan, which obtains six regions. In present time organization has all of opportunities for activities.

Direction of the organization activity:
- Agricultural project and programme identification, formulation, appraisal and execution.
- Monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs for agricultural development.
- Design and implementation of training programs for managers, trainers and field workers.
- Technical, economic and management advice in dairy and beef production, poultry, arable farming, horticulture, greenhouse cultivation, tree nurseries, irrigation, fruit and vegetable production and processing, beekeeping, milk processing and products packaging.
- Strengthening of beneficiaries' participation in generation and transfer of agricultural technology.
- Farm advisory and consultancy skills,training of farm advisors.
- Trainig methodologies in adult education, training of trainers.
- Farm business management, increasing of social justice (land-use rights and land management), sustainable use of natural resources (agricultural production and ecology, organic agriculture, mountain ecosystems).
- Information management, research-extension linkages.
- Development of rural green tourism
- Rural community development.
- Small business, income generation and employment.
- Improving the technology of agriculture plant's cultivation and applying the waste less technologies.
- Rendering agricultural service to entrepreneurs (soil testing), extending medicines into the plants and animal husbandry, mineral fertilizers, seedling, seeds.
