Intenational projects
1.MIVAL: Migration , Values , Language
The focus of MIVAL is on (European) social values (& their cultural diversity) and how far this issue is already considered in the syllabuses and curricula of language teaching.
The project strives to identify the shortcomings as regards the current approach concerning this issue and outline a way forward to support implementation.
MIVAL intends to describe how an interface connecting issues of migration, social values, cultural diversity and language teaching can be developed and which attitudes, methods & materials support good social coexistence & integration.
Primary target group of MIVAL: language trainers & other pedagogical staff
Secondary target group: participants of language classes (both migrants and non-migrants)
2. Get Involved through Peer Mentoring ‘ INVOLVE´
Volunteering is a core element of our social life and it is basically articulated through active involvement. According to Astin definition ,involvement is defined both as participating actively through physical observable behaviors and mental applications ( through aspects such as concentration, commitment and motivation ) . In both of the aspects , depth of reflection is a qualitative criterion of measurement. Types of adult involvement in learning to be active should include opportunities which built confidence and self esteem , consider the multiple demands on their time , and involve peer interaction. Peer mentoring could be the strategic vehicle of spreading satisfaction of sharing . It is common sense that we are affected of the dominant values of the environment surrounding us , so building zones of mentors in families , schools and neibourhoods we believe that we can influence the behaviour of not involved into being active and involved. .Based on those principles , the proposal will be a dialogue between active and noninvolved possible learners coming from the close environment of the active ones . What is the reason some people dont feel that are able to contribute in common aims ? In order to diagnose reasons , simple interviews non directed will be the focus of discussions through transnational partnership and solutions for motivation from peers will be suggested . At the end, the partnership will proceed through its lifecycle in developing a short series of modules for NGOs , schools or Communities open through partners website.
3.Effective Vocational Guidance for Gifted and Talented
With this project we aimed to share best practice and conduct to raise awareness and make more consciousness of GATS about vocational guidance. It is known all partners the importance of helping people explore their personalities, values, and desired lifestyles as well as their interests & abilities to help them explore career options, plan for their future and realize their potential. We thought ,profession affects individuals' whole life.A profession could make individuals happy or unhappy.
All partners experience problems with GATS who need vocational educational guidance and surveys to choose righ professioan and to make true decision. This project aims to increase the attractiveness of vocational gıidance and training by promoting a series of interventions that partner countries have found successful, or are experimenting with, to encourage the GATS.
