History

Starting from 20002, through support of IIZ/DVV providers of adult education established a non-formal network. The non-formal network took an active part in planning and implementation of the following activities:

• First Regional Adult Education Fair in Georgia "Further Education - A Way to Employment" Tbilisi, October 2003;
• First Conference on „Adult Education and Lifelong Learning in South Caucasus: Status quo and Perspectives for Further Development in the Region", Tbilisi, June 2004;
• Inter-sectoral workshop "Human Resources: Where is Georgia Heading?" - Tbilisi, December 2004.

Main act

AEAG was created with the aim to foster development of educational level amongst adult population in Georgia in order to promote their employment, growth of income and harmonious integration in new conditions of life. The AEAG has the following strategic directions: Elaboration and introduction of Adult Education (AE) and Lifelong Learning (LLL) Strategy/Policy; Promotion of Adult Education Centres (AEC) and support of similar institutions; Development of a scientific field of Andragogy and bringing it into reality.
