The two largest representative European organisations for higher arts education AEC (European Association of Conservatoires) and ELIA (European League of Institutes of the Arts) are organising a special event in the framework of the EU Year for Creativity & Innovation 2009.
The event will draw attention to the artistic dimension of creativity and innovation; it will be dynamic and focused with contributions by prominent speakers and presentations by art students from various European countries.
Speeches will be given by the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Training and Youth, Jān Figel´, Chair of the European Parliament Culture Committee, Katerina Batzeli, a representative of the Czech EU Presidency and the Presidents of both European associations. The event will be followed by a reception and take place at the Hotel Bloom in Brussels, which is famous for its creative and innovative interior design with mural paintings made by selected art students from all European countries.
