He has made his career in the heavy metal industry since he left comprehensive school at the age of 16. During this time the company has changed owner and name and new generation forest machines and even the equipment have new names. But the work is still about the same. Now the machine workshop in Joensuu, Juha Piirainen's home town, is owned by Americans. The town of Joensuu, 500 km from capital Helsinki, in North Carelia, is one of three Timberjack manufacturing facilities in the world.
