EAEA and NVL ( The Nordic Network for Adult Learning) organises a seminar on the topic Equal Opportunities in December 2007.
The seminar is a reaction to the thematic year 2007 of the European Union with the same subject. Adult Education has for a long time promoted the importance of equal access to all adults. According to EAEA adult education plays a key role in empowering people.
It is easy to lay this claim, sometimes it is a bit more challenging to proove it. We are now actively collecting evidence to support this claim by contacting adult learning institutions and NGOs working with excluded groups and asking for case studies and examples of how education can play a role in giving the people of Europe equal opportunities.
