Frankfurt Book Fair Literacy Campaign (LitCam)

In 2006, the Frankfurt Book Fair initiated a new key focus for the Fair called EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE. At the same time, LitCam - the Frankfurt Book Fair Literacy Campaign - was launched as an international endeavour together with the partners UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning and the German Federal Association for Literacy and Basic Education.

The campaign´s main platform is an annual international conference, the LitCam Conference. In 2010 the 5. LitCam Conference will take place in Frankfurt from 4 - 5 October. This year the main theme will be "Literacy and Human Rights".
During the Frankfurt Book Fair, which takes place from 6 to 10 October 2010, LitCam partners as well as organisations and companies involved in education and literacy have the opportunity to present their work at the LitCam Lounge or the event platform LitCam Live! in Hall 4.2.

All year round LitCam is dedicated to running the "Football meets Culture" projects and several international LitCam conferences.
