Education for all week

Education for All week 15-25 April 2004, coordinated by UNESCO

Although education is a basic human right, more than 100 million children around the world still don't go to school.
Denial of this right makes them vulnerable to poverty, hunger, violence, exploitation and disease.
EFA Week 2004, also known as Action Week, will draw attention to these out-of-school children.
UNESCO and the Global Campaign for Education are organizing the Big Lobby to give children a chance to make their voices heard. They will be asking their governments to do more to provide education for all.
