EU Commissioner Ms Meglena Kuneva addresses the EAEA Conference on Equal Opportunities

The General Assembly 2007 gathered in Riga, the capital of Latvia, on December 3, 2007. The newly appointed Secretary General Ms Gina Ebner was introduced to the membership at the event. She was warmly welcomed by all present. The Assembly then went on with approving the work plan of 2008 and the work report of 2007. The reports and the EAEA Year movie 2007 is below.

As has become customary the GA was organised back to back with a thematic seminar. The EU thematic year of 2007 was Equal opportunities for all. This made the choise simple. EAEA and NVL decided to coorganise a conference on this theme. The event was very well attended, and Ms Meglena Kuneva, EU Commissioner for Consumer Protection, gave a speech at the conference. EAEA and NVL also published a joint statement on the topic.
