N0.2 Information Bulletin
For this No. 2 bulletin the Budapest Link Office has prepared a selection of quotations from the documents of the Committee of Culture and Education and the Committee of Employment and Social Affairs of the European Parliament issued between 2000-2003. These documents dealt directly or indirectly with lifelong learning or adult education and the selection is intended to give some impression on the content and style of the work of the Parliamentary Committees.
You can find the content-list of the topics related to adult learning below and under that a list of more detailed quotations from each document. If you want to have the full documents you can visit the websites of the two Committees and search by the date and topic:
Committee on Culture, Youth, Education, the Media and Sport
(Full document: http://www.europarl.eu.int/committees/cult_home.htm)
Committee on Employment and Social Affairs
(Full document: http://www.europarl.eu.int/committees/empl_home.htm)
By providing information, this bulletin wishes to assist in your campaigning and in starting a dialogue with the candidates by presenting some preliminary reports, decisions of the sessions of the former Committees of the EP. The selection only focuses on some important issues and do not represent the whole work the two Committees performed during the period. However, it gives argumentation where and how the dialogue would be continued with new-old members and candidates at all.
