Volunteer work in EAEA
The EAEA offers cooperation opportunities for volunteers in the main office in Brussels and in the link office in Budapest and Helsinki. Professionals of adult education / non-formal education organizations and institutions are invited to pass some time in a work placement in the EAEA and have possibilities to visit European institutions, to attend European conferences and meetings, to establish and to consolidate contacts with the European Commission, with European institutions or other European associations.
A similar opportunity is offered by the EAEA Link Office in Budapest where volunteers are invited to participate in European projects, focussing on cooperation of Eastern European countries with their neighbours or Western European countries. They will have the possibility to study non-formal education in Eastern Europe and explore ways of linking their organisation to similar ones in Eastern Europe.
If you are interested in information services and NGO work, then maybe EAEA Helsinki is the right place for you. The Helsinki office is maintaining all information services of EAEA, and developing new ones in accordance with the Information Strategy. The work is challenging, interesting, and gives a good understanding of Adult Education in Europe today.
The costs have to be covered by the sending organisation or by applying for a grant, for example under the Grundtvig 3 programme (see: Grundtvig 3 - Mobility for training of educational staff
or under the Leonardo Mobility programme
Requirements:
Fluent English and reasonable French; a third language would be an asset.
PC working knowledge (Word, Excel, e-mailing, internet)
Minimum duration: 2 weeks (For Helsinki 1-4 months is recommended)
The EAEA offers:
