England: New resources to aid citizenship
The National Institute for Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) and the Language and Literacy Unit (LLU+) at London South Bank University have taken a crucial step towards achieving the Government´s aim of making the process of becoming a British Citizen a more meaningful event. NIACE and LLU+ are managing a pilot scheme which will allow a number of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) course providers to trial a recently completed pack of ESOL Citizenship learning materials.

One of the many activities during the last day of the adults learners week in Hungary was the International Conference about the Status of the Adult Education in Central and East Europe "Membership in the European Union- National Possibilities", organized by the Hungarian Folk High School society and the Budapest link office of the EAEA.

Research indicates need for AE teacher training
