UNESCO has just launched a new Literacy Portal for sharing information on literacy projects and activities around the world. It will be developed progressively through the contribution of everyone involved in literacy work .
Literacy is one of UNESCO´s three special target areas to accelerate progress towards Education for All by 2015; the others are Teacher Training and HIV/AIDS prevention education.
